By default, the price (Customer Price) set in your product's "Overview" tab of a product. is the price that appears to your shoppers.

However, you may have a situation where you need to set a special price or "Custom Price" for a specific customer. For example, a customer may have been given a "Custom Price" in order to secure there business/order.

Another possible situation where you may need custom price displays is one when you need to adhere to MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) rules from your distributors/manufacturers.

To give a customer a "Custom Price" follow these steps:

  1. Go to Customers --> Customer List
  2. Search for the Customer you want and click "View"
  3. Click on the "Custom Price" Tab.
  4. To change a "Custom Price" simply update the new price and click "Update"
  5. To "Add" a new Customer Price" change the "Current Pricing" option to "Add Pricing"
  6. Search for the product for this customer.
  7. Enter a "Customer Price" and click "Add"
  8. This customer now has a special price for that product on your store.

Note:
If you are using "Multi-URL's" and have set a markup on the secondary URL's the markup will be added to the "Custom Price" if the customer is logged in to one of the secondary URL's. Keep this in mind if you have both secondary URL's & markups set of these stores.
Important:
If "Call For Pricing" option if turned on for a product Custom Pricing will override "Call For Pricing"  but only for customers that have a "Custom Price".
